Craftiness

I'm not very crafty so when I do something cute I gotta show it off. My sister in law Kristen made us all letters for our families. I wasn't married yet I just got a T. So i wanted to make us a letter B for our wall. Well I thought I did a pretty good job so I did a T and a D to go with it! I am very excited about them! I think they turned out great!

Usually people would use one piece of paper to mod podge on the letter but I used 2 for the B. The top one is see through so I got a green piece of paper to go under it! (Because everybody knows how I feel about green!) :) Then I just got cute black and gray flowers to glue on and it turned out like this. It actually took me 2 days to finish the B because I messed once so I had to re-do the whole thing. So this is the second draft!

The T didn't turn out quite like I wanted to, but the end product is still very cute! The orange flower was actually Devin's idea! Crazy right?

The D was kinda hard to make just because I didn't want it to look girly. Every little thing I thought to put in it was a cute flower or fancy letters. So I went with buttons. It's still cute but not girly cute....boyish cute! ha ha :) Oh and the edges are supposed to look like they were ripped to make it look more rugged.

Netflix

I don't know if you are a good or bad thing.

On one hand I get to catch up on shows/movies I have never seen or those that I haven't seen in a while. On the other hand, it's a time sucker.

It's a serious problem...when shows/movies I haven't seen before/a long time are on, I can't do anything but watch. It's awful! I can't get much done around the apartment because I am glued to the TV.

Devin absolutely hates it. He gets so upset, which is understandable, I would too if I were wanting to get somewhere on time and my wife wasn't helping because she was watching TV.

I think it runs in my family, both of my sisters do it, and my brother does sometimes but not as much as we do. It's not just bad. It's pretty bad.

Summer Family Time Pt.1

So this summer was way crazy and a lot of things went on; there is so much to tell I'm just gonna put up some pictures and say short things about them.

First Devin and I went on a little camping trip to Payson and went to the Tonto Natural Bridge which was WAY cool I loved it! There was a waterfall and I totally went under it! :)

Devin's brother had a sweet little boy, Canon Brooks Bryce!

My brother's cute baby boy Braxton was blessed at my dad's house, it was fun to come together to celebrate this sweet boy!

My brother's kids, Keegan and Braxton. They are both clones of my brother! Its crazy cute!

This is what my brother and sisters do everytime they want their kids to smile at the camera. Everytime!

My brother's family: Jamon, Kristen, Keegan and new Baby Braxon! So cute!

The day before Braxton's blessing was my birthday and Devin took me

shopping, and this is my cute new outfit!

These are gifts my Mother-in-law gave me! I LOVE DR. PEPPER! Thanks Sheri!

Summer Family Time Pt 2

Devin's family reunion.

His family camps about 3 miles from my cabin, so were were able to drive to my cabin to shower. It was nice! :)

We played lots of board games and cards! The boys went on lots of quad rides. We also went to a place called Harris Cave sadly I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures, but everybody had lots of fun! My family has been going there for years so I thought it would be fun to take the Bryce's to go see it!

Every Friday we have a huge bon fire; it was so big! It was as tall as Devin, (as you can see below.)

My sister in law does hair and she braided my hair all fancy like! I loved it! :)

His reunion is completely different than mine. His, everyone can do what ever they want, nothing is really planned. However my family reunion, everything is planned. So it's a different experience to get used to!

Our Tree! :)

We had lots of fun at his family reunion, even though we did get caught in the rain a couple of times! It's always great to spend time with family so we can be come closer together! :)

Summer Family Time Pt 3

My Family Reunion.

We stayed at my cabin for a whole week with most of my siblings and Dad and Karen. Well I did, Devin came up on Thursday for the reunion with Timmy.

That first week we had a nice time and did all sorts of things; the little kiddies hung out with grandpa and made lots of bird feeders. We ran down Greens Peak, and had a picnic at the bottom.

When the reunion actually started, we had lots of fun. For a family activity night my immediate family and I put on a gameshow, we did "Minute to Win it." Friday and Saturday nights we had a couple of dances and played a very intense game of mingle! We Browns LOVE that game! :)

We had some fun games for the little kiddies to play. We just had lots of fun! I love family reunions! It's always fun to catch up with all my cousins! :)

....Busy Summer Days....

When I was younger I wanted to be a camp counselor, and thanks to my fantastic brother-in-law I got that opportunity.

For the past 3 Summers I have been a Resident Assistant for a summer camp known as "Summer Enrichment Program", S.E.P. for short. It's a science based camp to boost teens' self esteem and to help them realize their potential, and that they can do anything, even something big in life.

The kids have classes everyday, learning new things. It's pretty cool! I love every minute of my time there; its a great opportunity to do something great for kids, and to help them change their lives!

It's SUPER exhausting; especially waking up at 5:30 every morning. Then going to bed at 12 o'clock midnight, not fun, but worth it!

I help plan fun activities for them to do and especially ice breakers to help them meet new people and kinda get out of their comfort zone.

I miss it already. However, sadly they say that this was the last year. So I won't be able to do it again, unless they get the funds to do it.

Photo: There are the other RA's that I worked with. I know, we all look like our eyes are on fire, but what can you do when you take the picture with your phone!? I miss them all....well most of them... One of the RA's I couldn't stand, but it's over with and I don't have to see him again!
