ITS SO FLUFFY!!!

This Christmas was pretty much the best Christmas ever!

Not only was it the first Christmas with my hubby, but I got everything I wanted, we both did! I know, I sound like a little kid, but I haven't had a Christmas like this since I was eleven so I was really excited. Devin said I was like a little girl being so excited about every gift I opened. Christmas Eve was spent with Bryce's, we had breakfast together at brother-in-law's house. Afterwards we headed across the street to the Bryce's where we opened the presents that we all got each other, and more importantly what Sheri got us! Then Christmas day we went over to my Dad's house to open more presents and play with the Kinect. Both days were amazing! We love our families.

Some exciting gifts we got:
I got some footy pajamas and Dr. Pepper salt and pepper shakers from Sheri and Devin gave me a 32" TV.

Devin got an Amazon Kindle from me, a little helicopter from my brother-in-law John, (Worst gift ever....for me its annoyingly loud), and some fireworks from his dad.

Oh, and I got one of the funniest movies in the world, "Despicable Me", which was very exciting, I LOVE that movie!

I don't think this Christmas wouldn't have been so special without our wonderful familes! I definitely married into a good one. We are so grateful for what we have and can't ask for anything better!

Oh Christmas tree.....

So I was kinda bummed for this Christmas because I wouldn't have my own christmas tree to decorate. It's my absolute favorite part of Christmas....I love it! It's not Chistmas with out decorating a Christmas tree!! So, Devin being the fantastic hubby he is came home with a tiny Christmas tree to put in our tiny room. I almost cried....I was so excited! We got some lights, put on some old ornaments that I got when my family went through some old things, and put Princess Tiana as our tree topper! Yes......that's right I have a black princess as my tree topper! She's really an ornament that my mother-in-law gave me, but she over powered the tiny tree so we put her on top! Then we put some gifts that we are giving to our family, and now it really feels like Christmas... :) It was a great surprise......I love my husband, and now I am SUPER excited for Christmas to come!

Boots on....

So this Thanksgiving Devin and I were lucky enough to have two. One with my family and one with his family; which I was super excited about because being married you usually have to choose what family you go to for what holiday. So I was ecstatic to spend Thanksgiving with both families. We spent Thanksgiving day with his family, and Saturday we went to Flagstaff for my family Thanksgiving dinner.

On Thanksgiving we had our turkey dinner in the back yard. It wasn't too cold; I only had to wear a light sweater....always good! :) Since we live with Devin's parents, we didn't have to do much. We were ask to make mashed potatoes, and then I was asked to make my famous banana cream pie. Honestly....it's nothing really special just some vanilla or banana pudding, bananas, and a graham cracker crust. One sugar free for Devin's sister Cindy and a regular one for everyone else. Even though they taste exactly the same, but some of the Bryce's are little spectacle about it and a little picky! :) Afterward we played with our kinect system that Devin bought for his birthday. Everybody was playing having a good time! Even Grandpa Bryce who is in his 80's played!

Then for my family Thanksgiving we went up to flagstaff for the weekend, and had it at my sister Mariah's house. We drove up there on Friday, and we went home on Sunday. We stayed at my brother Jamon's tiny little dorm room with his cute wife Kristen and adorable little boy Keegan. Thanks for squeezing us in by the way we definitely appreciated it! So it was really a weekend of Thanksgiving for the Smith's. It was SO MUCH fun! I think it brought little closer. We hadn't that much time together with just the Smiths in a very long time. We watched some old home videos that my dad brought bringing back so many memories about my mom and little things we used to have and do.That was one of my favorite parts...Seeing my mom again! The dinner itself was amazing. There was no little kiddies running around, or screaming; they were all taking naps it was just the adults.....AMAZING! oh and the food was delish....We brought the Kinect; which was a big hit! We were the coolest ones there! I danced with my sister pretty much all weekend it was great! :D While we were there it was pretty cold and it snowed on Sunday....So I got to wear my boots! I have one pair of boots that i love oh so much, and since I live in Phoenix I have no need to wear them. I was SO excited.....I call them my pocahontas boots...they look like something the she would wear. They are so comfy and so warm....It made me want to get some more pairs but sadly I have no need for them....It doesn't get that cold here. Wearing my pocahontas boots made the weekend that much better! Definitely made some good memories this Thanksgiving! :)

Halloween fun!

This year wasn't too exciting, but we still had fun. On Saturday we went to a trunk-r-treat. We went as my mom and Devin was struck by lightening. Sheri, his mom, was in charge of it so we helped her out alittle bit and some laughed with friends. Then on Sunday we just hung out at our house carving pumpkins with his family. I am very proud of my pumpkin...I did Princess and the Frog! It's pretty much amazing! We Handed out candy to the cute little kiddies! Eventually handing out candy got a little boring, so my brother-in-law Boston had this funny idea of having some one get inside of the outside blow up decorations and move around in it. Me, being the smallest I was choosen. So I got in and it was fun movin around and the family laughing and having a good time. She had two so they cut a bigger hole in it, and Boston got in the other one. We faught with each other, and talked to the kiddies. We were the entertainment for everyone. It's a something that I don't think any one will forget. I'm glad was part of it. Fun times!

Realization.....

I haven't had much to say lately. So I'll blog just to blog because I don't have much else to do. I have LOTS of time to myself A LOT of time. I have a good life, so I shouldn't be complaining, but I don't have much to do and it's not so fun. You know that grandpa can't see much so I go over to help him out with some things. Usually, it's just cleaning for him, and weirdly I love doing it. I love knowing that someone truly needs me. He's 90 and older people tend to tell stories over and over but he doesn't do it too often. I knew a lot about grandma because she was a talker, but now it's time for me to learn about grandpa. So it's a good thing that I go over there, I guess, mainly to keep me sane and to help him. Crazy........as I'm writing this, I'm realizing that I have something to do. It's grandpa.....helping him...doing jobs he wants/needs done, being grandpas helper as he puts it. So amnesia the first part you read. I'll just leave it there to read so the blog looks longer. :)

Tis the Season...

For weddings! Judas priest, it feels like most of my friends or family are getting married within a few months or the beginning of next year! It's crazy...2010 is a good year to get married but it's so many gifts to buy! We are starving newlyweds here....People think of the straving newlyweds please!! HA! Just kidding this is definitely your time! Some gifts are fun to give, Example: for my friend Leah, my present to her was to give her a massage...it was some work but I loved giving it, showing off my now new profession! :) The next gift I'm going to give is to my sister-in-laws sister, Tracee. I got her a joke gift and I'm VERY excited for her to see it! I got her an ugly Moo-Moo type thing, some very nice sexy lingerie, and newlywed essentials...Astroglide and a Pregnancy test! This may sound weird and gross to the few people who read my blog but I'm excited to give her these wonderful gifts, especially the ugly Moo-Moo. :D I've always wanted to do that....give the bride an ugly Moo-Moo first and ,then of course, some oh so sexy lingerie. So, that's something I can check it off my list! :) YAY!

New Life....

Well it's a new life for one of my best friends Leah Marie! :) She's getting married in a few days. I'm SO excited for her! I'm excited that I get to experience that special life step with her. She's the 2nd to get married out of the 3 musketeers, me being first, and I love her see her so happy! She is an amazing, smart, beautiful girl. She deserves this happiness. I'm excited that I get to go through the temple with her and go to her sealing, I think I'm most excited about those two things than anything else. :) I love her and I wish her every happiness! It's ABSOLUTELY wonderful being married....and there will be certain things that you will love the most, if you catch my drift. ;)

One of our adventures....Halloween dance 2009

My absolute favorite picture of Leah! :D Sorry Leah I had to!

P.s Beware of him snoring....just sayin.

Moved in...

We lived in a house that went into foreclosure so we got kicked out. We didn't have enough money to pay rent or buy a house so the only option we had was to move in with family, and we moved in with his parents. They had the most room and it was the more reasonable option. We've been here for about a week, it's has been difficult to go from a 4 bedroom house to one little bedroom. We live on the opposite side of the house from his parents. So it is kind of like we have our own house, because it's just us and them, but it's just the fact we can't say it's our own. Don't get me wrong, we are SO GRATEFUL that they are allowing us to live with them and it's fun to see his family more. We just can't say its ours so it's just really humbling for us. Hopefully, we won't have to stay here too long so they can have their house back. See, their oldest daughter and her family of 4 moved in September 09 and moved out in May....and then we moved in early August. So they had their house to themselves for about 3 months. So for their sake, I hope we move out soon......no longer than 6 months until I can find a job. We shall see what the lord will bring us.

storyteller weekend...

So this weekend Devin and I were supposed to go to Utah with some friends, but things came up and we didn't end up going. Instead, Devin and I went to Flagstaff to get out of the heat we went up Friday and came home Sunday. Friday night we stayed in this really nice hotel called Drury Inn, it was our splurge for a really long time. We came to our conclusion that we LOVE staying in hotels! It's our new favorite thing. Then, Saturday my sister was moving into her new house so we helped with that all day. Then Devin wanted to stay the night at their house, but i convinced him to stay somewhere else. The somewhere else was an extremely cheap old motel that was made in the 50's on route 66. It was old and dirty. Well, not that dirty but it was definitely dirtier than the Drury Inn. It smelled kinda funny and we found some blood on one of the pillow cases and towels. The room looked it hasn't been used in awhile. It was a different experience for me; Devin didn't mind it so much....minus the blood on the pillow case he was using. We both have always wanted to stay in and old motel on route 66, so we fulfilled a life long dream but it's something i wouldn't do again. Then Sunday we spent time with my sister and brother all day and it was nice! So that is my storyteller weekend....it was a fun weekend a new adventure.

Reunions

Every year my family stays at our cabin for about a week, depending on the family, and Devin's family camps for a week for our family reunions. Both reunions always happen the same week, and always 3 miles away from each other, never planned...just coincidence. Being married this year was kind of difficult for us. We both wanted to be at our own reunions all the time, and we both had our own traditions that we "had" to sick to. So we talked about it and worked something out, during the day we would go to the homestead (my cabin), and at night we would stay at the Bryce camp. I hate tents so we put a queen size mattress in the back of his dads Expedition and slept there, and pretty well I might add. Except for the first night, Devin snores and in a contained area it seemed like it was extra loud. (the fact that I'm a light sleeper didn't help either) Luckily, the next day my sister was going into Show low the next day, and I asked her to get me some ear plugs. Oh my lanta, they worked like magic. I called them my miracle workers I didn't hear a thing! I slept way better after that! We had lots of fun between the two reunions; it was good to see family that we hadn't seen/talk to in awhile. We worked everything out, and next year the Bryce reunion will be a week earlier so we will be able be a both reunions the whole time. We are both very excited!

No worries, I will post pictures another day I can't find my cord for my camera to upload the pictures from my camera to my computer.

Perfect rainy day!

So as you all Phoenicians know....it has been raining a great deal. I love rainy days in the summer time it's not too cold, it's too hot and it's not extremely bright out side. Yesterday was especially perfect, it was a complete lazy for me AND Devin, usually it's just a lazy day for me so it was very rare day. He usually can't sit still for 30 min...unless he's playing video games. :( Anyways, we both played in the rain a little bit, we sat on our porch watched the rain; Mom and Dad used to do it every time it rained if they could....it reminded me of them....which I loved! :) Then we fell asleep on the couch just talking and listening to it rain. It was a perfect rainy day with my most favorite person in the world! I love lazy rainy days in the summer time!

Fun in the rain...

YAY RAIN! I love rain...in the summer time anyways any other time it's too cold. Last night I couldn't sleep, I was watching movies and shows on netflixs, and I heard it starting to rain. So me being me, I run outside to play in the rain. It rained for about an hour, so I played in the rain for about and hour! I haven't done that in such a long time! I loved it...it was fun just me and the rain! No one was awake or outside to sit and stare at me and give me funny looks. (I made sure) When i went back inside to get some dry clothes on; Devin was sleeping. I didn't mean to wake him up but I did, and told him about my little adventure. I don't think he cared too much at 2 in the morning but he semi listened which was good enough for me! I love the rain....in the summer time! :)

Get this thing.....

So now that I don't have a job right now, and I have nothing to do most of the time. So I'm trying to figure out this blog thing. Hopefully,I'll get it quick.
Hopefully I'll keep this up so I can help inform my family with what's going on with my little family!
Well to start out, Devin and I are doing well. Unfortunately, we have to move out of our wonderful house because....were getting kicked out. :( Sad I know, but luckily Devin's parents live just down the street, and they are helping out immensely by letting us stay in their house until I can find a job to help Devin out with the bills and what not. I'm just waiting for a few things to be sent to me so I send in my application to get my massage license...hopefully soon!
